Director Story
Growing up between VHS’s mountain and a heap of comics, Marc became interested in the plastic thing very early. A volunteer projectionist and then audiovisual editor, he pursues an anglican career alongside his technical tweaks – during which he falls in love with Jeff Chaucer and Billy Shakespeare.
Director of works with often confusing formal biases, he directed between 2005 and 2014 a homeless thriller, a historical mini-series, a boxing fable, a series of (very) experimental shorts, as well as a schoolboy horror comedy and subversive.
Deciding then to box in a new category, he directed, in 2014, his first feature film “The Open” (2016), totaling a happy score of more than 50 selections and 25 prizes.
Fervent activist, course leader within the Street Team of the Charonne association and winner of the CNC Rewriting Aid, Marc is now refining Joe Louis “The Left Hand” alongside Nicolas Peufaillit (“A Prophet” , “The Revenants”) and enters in parallel, a maximum of crossed fingers, in pre-production of a second feature film, “Working Class Heroes”.
