Director Story

Nathan Villanneau n’est pas issu d’une école de cinéma. C’est au cours de sa formation en hôtellerie-restauration qu’il décide, avec Nicolas Audouin, de fonder l’association Silence ça tourne, qui deviendra un tremplin pour de nombreux jeunes cinéastes angevins. En 2022, il réalise LE TEMPS QU’ON A, un moyen-métrage remarqué et sélectionné par La Grande Tournée, dispositif régional de diffusion en Pays de la Loire. Avec FORT COMME UN LION, il franchit un nouveau cap, affirmant son désir de faire un cinéma ancré dans des réalités sociales brûlantes.

Nathan Villanneau did not attend film school. During his training in hospitality and catering, he decided, with Nicolas Audouin, to found the association Silence ça tourne, which became a launching pad for many young filmmakers from Angers. In 2022, he directed Le temps qu’on a, a medium-length film selected by La Grande Tournée, a regional distribution program in the Pays de la Loire, France. With Fort comme un lion, he takes a new step forward, affirming his desire to create cinema deeply rooted in pressing social realities.
