Director Story

Tanguy Malaterre est un acteur, réalisateur ayant suivi une formation au Cours Florent ainsi qu’au Conservatoire Gabriel Fauré. En 2O22 est sélectionné au Prix Olga Horstig mis en scène par Julien Kosellek au Théâtre de l’Athénée Louis Jouvet.
Au théâtre, il joue dans “Un Tramway nommé Désir” de Tennessee Williams, mis en scène par Pauline Susini au Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens en 2024 puis ensuite en tournée. Passionné de cinéma depuis toujours, il commence en parallèle des répétitions l’écriture de son premier court métrage : De l’importance d’avoir 20 ans et un scooter à Paris. Il le réalise fin 2024, par la suite, le film remporte de nombreux prix en festival.
Dernièrement il continue à jouer au théâtre notamment dans une mise en scène de Celia Jaillet et Mélodie Fourmeaux au Lavoir Moderne Parisien tout en continuant son travail d’écriture. Il réalise son second film en mai 2025 à Cannes durant le festival. Il rejoint la prochaine création de Julien Gaspar-Oliveri dont les premières représentations auront lieu en mars 2026 au Théâtre National de la Commune.

 Tanguy Malaterre is an actor and director who trained at the Cours Florent and the Conservatoire Gabriel Fauré. In 2022, he was selected for the Olga Horstig Prize, directed by Julien Kosellek at the Théâtre de l’Athénée Louis Jouvet.
On stage, he performs in A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, directed by Pauline Susini at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens in 2024, followed by a tour. Passionate about cinema since his youth, he begins writing his first short film, The Importance of Being 20 and Having a Scooter in Paris, during rehearsals. He directs the film at the end of 2024, and it goes on to win several awards at festivals.
More recently, he continues to perform in the theater, notably in a production by Celia Jaillet and Mélodie Fourmeaux at the Lavoir Moderne Parisien, while also continuing his work as a writer. He directs his second film in May 2025 during the Cannes Film Festival. He joins the upcoming creation by Julien Gaspar-Oliveri, with the first performances scheduled for March 2026 at the Théâtre National de la Commune.
