Director Story

En 2019, en parallèle de ses études d’hôtellerie-restauration, il fonde avec un ami, Nicolas Audouin, l’association angevine Silence ça tourne, afin de rassembler des passioné.es autour de projets audiovisuels. Il débute alors quelques mois plus tard la réalisation avec un premier court métrage AVEC MOI. En 2020, l’association produit le premier court métrage de Claire Griois, DANS LES ROULEAUX. En parallèle de l’activité de l’association, Nathan participe à plusieurs tournages en tant qu’assistant réalisateur. En 2021, il produit et réalise son deuxième court métrage LE TEMPS QU’ON A ainsi qu’un très court métrage PLUTÔT COURIR, prix du public au concours ALM organisé par le festival Premiers Plans d’Angers.

Nathan Villanneau was born on November 21, 2000, in Angers, France. In 2019, while pursuing his studies in hotel industry and catering, he co-founded the Angers-based association Silence ça tourne with his friend Nicolas Audouin. The organization aims to bring together cinema lovers around film projects. A few months later, Nathan began his journey as a filmmaker with his first self-produced short film. Together, Nicolas and Nathan went on to self-produce around ten short films by emerging authors and directors from the Loire region. Nathan directed and produced his second short film, Le Temps qu’on a, which led to his meeting with Thierry Bohnke. Together, they embarked on the adventure of Nathan’s first professionally produced short film, Fort comme un Lion, slated for release in 2025.
