Thomas Trichet

Director Story

Né en 1994, Thomas Trichet grandit à Saint-Maur-des-Fossés en région
parisienne. À la suite de ses études d’art à l’ENSAAMA et aux Arts
Décoratifs de Paris, il réalise en 2019 son premier court-métrage, Le
Taxi de Sun City. Le film, sélectionné dans plusieurs festivals, sera
diffusé sur Arte et récompensé du Prix Qualité du CNC. Il développe une
pratique artistique plurielle puisqu’il réalise à la fois des films en prise de
vue réelle et en animation, de fiction ou de documentaire. En 2020, il
fonde avec Martin Maire et Théo Jollet le collectif artistique JTM, ainsi
que la société de production du même nom. Ensemble, ils collaborent
sur plusieurs films (Le Boug Doug, L’Odyssée des Minéraux, Brasero) et
se consacrent aujourd’hui à l’écriture d’un premier long-métrage.

Born in 1994, Thomas Trichet grew up in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, a
suburb of Paris. After studying art at ENSAAMA and the École des Arts
Décoratifs in Paris, he directed his first short film, The Sun City Taxi, in
2019. The film, selected for several festivals, was broadcast on the
French TV channel Arte and won the CNC Quality Prize. He develops a
multidisciplinary artistic practice, working on both live-action and
animated films, whether fiction or documentary. In 2020, he co-founded
the artistic collective JTM with Martin Maire and Théo Jollet, as well as
the production company of the same name. Together, they have
collaborated on several films (Le Boug Doug, L’Odyssée des Minéraux,
Brasero) and are currently working on the screenplay for their first
feature film.
