Paris-La Defense. Pierre regarde par la fenêtre, depuis le 17ème étage de la tour où il travaille : en bas, un de ses collègues est assis sur un banc depuis des heures, dans le froid, sans bouger. Il vient de se faire licencier et ne semble pas vouloir rentrer chez lui. Du haut de sa tour, Pierre se demande s’il doit intervenir.

Paris-La Défense, the business district. From the 17th floor of an office building, Pierre is staring out the window: down below, a colleague who was dismissed that morning has been sitting on a bench for hours, alone in the cold. Why won’t he go home? From the heights of his office, Pierre wonders what to do.
