C’est la fête de l’Aïd. Nous sommes dans un immeuble qui est habité depuis trois générations par une famille très conservatrice. Lorsque le grand-père âgé tombe malade, ses filles croient que sa maladie est due à la malchance provoquée par une jeune locataire. Mohamed, le petit-fils du malade, a un faible pour cette jeune femme. Mais lorsque la jeune femme rentre chez elle en pleine nuit accompagnée d’un homme, ils décident de la punir pour ses manières « impures » et « scandaleuses ».

It’s the Eid holiday. We’re in an apartment building that is owned and lived in by three generations of a very conservative family. When the elderly grandfather gets sick, his daughters believe that his illness is because of bad luck brought on by a young woman who rents an apartment in the building. Mohamed, the grandson of the sick man, has a crush on this young woman. But when the young woman comes home in the middle of the night, bringing a man who she’s taking up to her apartment, Mohamed and the women decide to punish her for her “impure” and “scandalous” ways.
