Après plusieurs années d’absence, Gibran un jeune de homme de 37 ans d’origine mexicaine revient à Los Angeles, avec pour objectif d’acquérir un terrain à Tecate, son village natal au Mexique. C’est alors qu’il organise les conditions pratiques de son départ qu’il redécouvre les liens émotionnels et historiques qui le lient aux Etats-Unis.

After several years’ absence, Gibran, a 37-year-old Mexican-American, returns to Los Angeles with the goal of saving up to purchase land in Tecate, the village where he was born in Mexico. As he organizes his departure, he rediscovers the emotional and historical ties that bind him to the United States.
