Alexey Evstigneev

Director Story

Alexey Evstigneev est né et a grandi à Shatura, en Russie. Il est diplômé en réalisation de documentaires à la VGIK de Moscou et à l’atelier d’animation Jiri Barta de l’Université de Pilsen, en République tchèque. Son documentaire de fin d’études, “Golden Buttons”, a été présenté en première mondiale à Vision du Réel et a remporté le Talent Award de l’IDFA, avant d’être sélectionné et primé dans de nombreux festivals à travers le monde. Alexey a également participé au CEE Animation Forum, à Euro Connection, à l’IDFA Talent Campus, au Visions du Réel Lab, au Talent Campus du Fajr International Film Festival.

Born and brought up in Shatura, Russia. Graduated from Documentary Filmmaking at The Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) and Jiri Barta’ s animation atelier of University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic. His graduation documentary film “Golden Buttons” premiered at Vision du Réel and won the IDFA Talent Award, before being selected and awarded at numerous festivals around the world. Alexey took also part in the CEE Animation Forum, Euro Connection, IDFA Talent Campus, Visions du Réel Lab, Talent Campus of the Fajr International Film Festival.
