Director Story
Père de jumelles et astigmate, Bertrand Basset voit en double depuis longtemps. Producteur et réalisateur. Auteur et monteur. Il a grandi à Morlaix avant de faire ses études à Rennes où il a participé à la création collective du magazine “Mag d’U” diffusé sur TV Rennes. Il a ensuite rejoint l’équipe de John Paul Lepers pour la création de LaTélélibre, qu’il a coordonné pendant un peu plus d’un an, produisant également 2 séries d’émissions Le point rouge et Sous les Pavés. Il entre ensuite à France 2 à la rédaction du 13H15, d’abord en tant que documentaliste et archiviste pour la chronique Mon Oeil de Michel Mompontet, puis en tant que réalisateur de sujets politiques et portraits d’invités en archives. Après une 20 aines de portraits pour le 20H du dimanche soir, il réalise ensuite des formats longs pour l’émission 13H15. Réinstallé en Bretagne depuis 4 ans, il continue à collaborer avec France 2, a fondé la société de production et de post-production Yellow Shoes Studio, et vient de réaliser le court « J’arrive » lauréat du concours Estran 7.
Father of twins and astigmatic, Bertrand Basset has seen double for a long time. Producer and director. Author and editor. He grew up in Morlaix before studying in Rennes, where he participated in the collective creation of the magazine “Mag d’U” broadcast on TV Rennes. Then he joined John Paul Lepers’ team to create LaTélibre, which he coordinated for a little over a year, also producing two series of shows Le point rouge and Sous les Pavés. He joined France 2 at 1:15 p.m., first as a librarian and archivist for Michel Mompontet’s Mon Oeil column, then as a director of political subjects and guest portraits in archives. After 20 portraits for the 8 p.m. Sunday evening, he produced long formats for the 1:15 p.m. show. Resettled in Brittany for 4 years, he continues to collaborate with France 2, founded the production and post-production company Yellow Shoes Studio, and has just produced the short “On my way”, winner of the Estran 7 competition.
